URI Shaheed Soldiers Samman – Honoring the Brave, Supporting Their Legacy

In 2017, United We Stand Foundation took a solemn step to honor the valiant 18 Indian soldiers who lost their lives in the tragic URI terror attack of September 2016. Understanding that their supreme sacrifice must never be forgotten, we reached out directly to the families and orphanages of these martyrs to offer our deepest respect and meaningful support. Our team visited their homes to understand the challenges they face post tragedy, and in our humble capacity, extended help in the form of financial aid, food supplies, educational materials, books, clothes, and other day-to-day necessities. As a gesture of long lasting tribute, we also conducted a tree plantation drive, symbolizing the continued legacy of these heroes. On the same occasion, we celebrated life by organizing a small but meaningful event in the slums by distributing food and cake to underprivileged children in honor of the martyrs' memories, turning grief into a moment of hope and togetherness. By remembering their sacrifice in such heartfelt ways, UWS Foundation reaffirmed its mission of standing by those who stand for the nation. Jai Hind!
