Shaurya Mata Samman – Saluting the Courage Behind the Uniform In 2019, United We Stand Foundation took a heartfelt initiative to honor the real strength behind our nation’s heroes that is their families. Through the Shaurya Mata Samman, we extended our unwavering support to the families of brave martyrs who laid down their lives for the country, as well as those of active duty soldiers. Recognizing that no amount of help can ever truly match the sacrifice made by our armed forces, we aimed to offer not only financial aid but also a platform of respect, solidarity, and emotional support to the soldiers’ families. This memorable event brought together 50 families of serving troops, along with the families of two brave martyrs from Maharashtra ,Martyr IAF Pilot Ninad Anil Mandavgane, who lost his life in the 2019 Mi-17 helicopter crash in Jammu & Kashmir, and Martyr Shankar Chandrabhan Shinde, who was posthumously honored with the prestigious Shaurya Chakra. Their presence served as a poignant reminder of the price of our freedom and the silent strength of the families left behind. The event not only celebrated their courage but also emphasized the responsibility of every citizen to stand by those who serve. By organizing this gathering, UWS Foundation reaffirmed its commitment to being a reliable support system for our armed forces and their loved ones. Jai Hind!
