Women's Day 2021

Women’s Day 2021 Every year on Women’s Day, we are accustomed to celebrating by inviting women to share empowering stories, motivational thoughts, and inspirational words. However, this year, United We Stand Foundation chose to take a different path one that not only celebrated womanhood but actively contributed to the health, dignity, and awareness of women in underserved areas. Instead of hosting a typical celebration, our team ventured into the rural and Adivasi Pada regions of the Nashik district, where access to basic menstrual hygiene and health awareness is still a major challenge. In these remote areas, many women and young girls remain unaware of the importance of sanitary pads and personal hygiene due to deep rooted taboos, lack of education, and limited access to healthcare. To address this, we distributed sanitary pads, masks, and hand sanitizers to hundreds of women and girls. More importantly, we organized informative workshops led by a certified doctor from our foundation, where we educated the attendees about menstrual hygiene, safe disposal of sanitary products, and the critical link between personal cleanliness and health. For many of the participants, it was the first time they had ever received such guidance. The session saw women listening with curiosity and gratitude, asking questions, and opening up about their experiences and struggles. Their engagement reinforced the dire need for continuous awareness in these areas. By stepping into the heart of these communities and prioritizing real issues over symbolic gestures, we believe we truly honored the spirit of Women’s Day. Our aim was to ensure that every woman, no matter where she lives, is given the tools and knowledge to live a healthier and more dignified life. This initiative was not just a one-day event it marked the beginning of an ongoing mission to uplift and empower rural women through awareness, action, and access. United We Stand Foundation remains committed to standing with every woman, everywhere, not just in celebration, but in support, solidarity, and service. Jai Hind!
